Consulting

Our team offers consultation services and program recommendations to individuals and organisations to determine the best education pathway. We observe the learning and behaviour strategies of individual students to understand how they process information and what supports they need then provide comprehensive reports to guide program development.

Advocacy

Student advocacy is the foundation of our services and our team provides these supports to ensure implementation of recommendations and accommodations. We attend meetings to represent the student’s needs, teach students to self advocate and provide workshops and instructional materials to improve lesson delivery.

Tutoring

We provide individual tutoring services for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. We offer support with subject-specific content, scheduling, research, project development, editing, and study skills. In addition we help students develop adaptation skills and strategies to make school more accessible. Sessions are 50 minutes long.

Georgia Argyle

As an Education Consultant, I bring over 20 years of experience working in management, education, special needs support, and student advocacy. For the past five years, I have been working with Jodi Bergman as the co-founder of Bergman and Argyle Counselling and Consulting where we design education programming for students with diverse learning needs and styles.

I have worked with children in a variety of caregiving and educational settings from large groups to one-on-one support. Through these experiences, I have come to recognize the need to expand education services and support through a collaborative model that is child-centred and developmentally appropriate. This approach ensures that each child receives the care and adaptations they need to succeed.

Working with students from age 2.5 to 23 years I have ensured the delivery of developmentally appropriate learning support for each age and ability. My personal study of Gordon Neufeld and Gabor Maté’s work on attachment and relationship has provided the foundation for my work with children. I begin with building trust through connection, then move into goal setting and academic work which allows me to support the student without resistance or anxiety. As an education consultant, I use these same skills and strategies to guide the education team towards a shared goal of best practices for the student.
